At Little Marvels Therapy, we believe every child and every family is unique. Our experienced multi disciplinary team is committed to family-centered and evidence-based practices for children and adolescents with developmental, learning or behavioural concerns. Our aim is to journey with parents towards the goal of a well-integrated and happy child at home, at school and at play.

 

We are looking for a strong and passionate Speech Therapist to fill a full-time position, to deliver services in a clinic and school setting. They should enjoy delivering client-centered and family-centered care, be driven to grow in knowledge and work well in a team. 

 

The Role

  • Conduct assessments, interventions and reports promptly for children and adolescents with a w range of developmental challenges (GDD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Learning Difficulties, Developmental Coordination Disorders and Sensory Processing Difficulties)

  • Conduct individual, pair or group therapy sessions effectively and safely 

  • Provide education and coaching for parents to transfer strategies into their home environments 

  • Practice within the areas of professional competence and seek support from support or other multi-disciplinary team members when appropriate 

  • Assist in clinical education for Speech Therapy students 

  • Contribute to in-service training programs and talks 

  • Conduct school-based therapy and liaise with teachers to transfer strategies to classroom settings 

  • Maintain timely case notes 

 

Requirements 

  • Recognised degree in Speech Therapy

  • Obtained full registration with the Allied Health Professions Council 

  • Good team player with strong interpersonal skills 

  • Motivated and independent 

  • Paediatric experience is preferred
