MSc Psychology of Child and Adolescent Development

Vivien graduated with a Master’s Degree in Psychology of Child and Adolescent

Development from York St. John University, United Kingdom in 2016. She has since been working, as an Educational Therapist, with children in various settings, such as inclusive preschools and private therapy centres. Throughout her career, she has worked with young individuals with a range of needs, particularly children with Global Development Delay (GDD), Attention-Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

She believes in using a variety of approaches, especially multi-sensory and child-led approaches, to suit the level of each child to support their executive functioning and critical thinking skills for learning. In order to do so, she continuously upgrades her skills by attending trainings and workshops. Some of the programmes that Vivien has been trained in are:

  • Lindamood Bell On Cloud Nine®️ Math Program – Visualizing & Verbalizing for Math

  • Play Therapy Approaches in Working with Children and Families with Attachment Difficulties by Hannah Sun-Reid

  • Understanding Vision, Visual Perception & Visual Motor Skills for the Classroom and Clinic by Dr. Peter Giroux
